Information about nsp13

Description

The NSP13 is a multi-functional protein with a zinc-binding domain (ZBD) in N-terminus, a stalk domain (S), a RecA-like domain (1A, 2A: for ATP binding and hydrolyzing nucleotides), and a 1B regulatory domain (involved in nucleic acid substrate binding). It serves as a helicase (Hel) to catalyze NTP-dependent unwinding SARS-CoV-2 RNA and DNA duplex making it accessible to other interacting factors. The activity of helicase is dependent on magnesium.
